I love you...

My knees start to weaken
At the first sight of your face
My heart starts to melt
At the thought of your embrace

Your love flows through me
Like a river flows down its path
Your kiss lifts me up so high
I could probably fall to my death

I really wish that
When I looked into your eyes I could see
Exactly how it is that
You feel about me

I get nervous when you're around me
I feel I could cry when you're away
I dream about you
Every night 'n day

I want you to know
My last three words will always remain true
Regardless of what I may say or do
You'll always know that
I love you...!

Waiting...

She crept through the open window
While he was peacefully sleeping
And watched him for awhile
A smile played on her lips
Of cherry. Golden honey hair
Skin of milky soft tenderness
And while she watched him
He quietly stirred 'n murmured
He was dreaming a dream full of
Pureness 'n innocence
As sounds of the ocean gently washed over him
As he sat happily picking up shells
On the glittering shore
She began whispering words softly spoken
And the look of contentment on his face
Told her he was listening
In his dreams he searched for her
Almost so close but always too far away to reach her
It was almost time for her to leave
And as ever this time came too soon
But she would return to watch over him
Night after night
And he was happy to let her
Safe in the knowledge that one day he would join her
For all eternity on the glittering shore made just for them
Two star-crossed lovers,Together in harmony waiting...!

21 Secrets to the Life You Want

Who is in the driver’s seat of your life?
Your job?
Your family?
The changing wind of life’s circumstances?

Ask yourself, “Is my life the way I want it to be?” If not, what is blocking you from jumping in the driver’s seat of your life?

Sometimes, it feels impossible to take control when you are stuck in a job you dislike because it pays the bills. Or when you can’t find a job. Or when you know your friends or family will reject you if you choose a different life path.

Life can sometimes be like a sticky spider web — the more you struggle against it, the more stuck you become.

Yes, life does have limitations, some of which are unchangeable. But a very large percentage of our lives is in our control — enough to profoundly impact how fulfilled and happy we feel on a daily basis.

Just knowing that you have some control is enough to change your perspective from hopeless to optimistic.

Creating The Life You Want

The very first step toward creating the life you want is to become a blank slate. Allow yourself to be open to some new ways of thinking, a different perspective. This may require you to shift some old beliefs or let go of your current “personal operating system“.
When you begin to make small shifts in your thinking, you open big doors for new ideas and opportunities.

21 Truths to Living the Life Your Want

1. Understand that sustained happiness rarely comes from outside circumstances. Your wealth, beauty, power, or acquisitions have far less to do with happiness than your appreciation for what you have this very moment and your loving relationships with others.

2. You can live your life by design, but you must acknowledge your power in that, plan for it, and take the necessary actions.

3. You can’t have it all, but you can have enough to be very happy. Prioritize and focus on the top 3 or 4 most important areas of your life.

4. Stop focusing on what you don’t have or don’t like. Focus on what you do have and do like, and create a plan for what you think you can improve and change.

5. Abandon perfectionism. It is a useless pursuit with no end. It creates stress and unhappiness. Learn to find the balance point between good enough and peaceful living.

6. Put your own deepest needs first. If you are living for others before yourself and pushing your own needs aside, eventually you will crumble in some way — through depression, anger, anxiety or destructive behaviors.

7. Your choices may disappoint or offend others. That is sometimes necessary in order to grow and live authentically. Those who love you and want the best for you will accept and support you.

8. Count your blessings. You probably already have many of the things you want for your life. Don’t take them for granted.

9. Address personal issues head-on. Don’t use these as an excuse for not having what you want in life. If you have a wound, a personality or relationship problem, or an anxiety, go to a counselor and work on it. Resolve it. Weak people don’t go to counselors, but strong forward-moving people do.

10. Pick one small problem or irritation and resolve it. Feel how much personal power and energy that gives you. Imagine how it would feel to resolve one of your bigger problems or concerns.

11. Consider disengaging from people who bring you down or drain your energy. Build relationships with people who are positive, action-oriented, and supportive.

12. Pick the one change that would make the biggest positive difference in your life. Begin visualizing your life with this change implemented. Practice this regularly throughout the day.

13. Take this one step further and begin writing some specific action steps that might help make this change happen.

14. Strengthen your strengths. Make yourself indispensable in your area(s) of interest and expertise.

15. Always leave time for fun. Make fun happen in your life.

16. Don’t neglect your relationships. Don’t take them for granted. Find out what makes your loved ones happy, and do that for them.

17. Learn to let it go. Worry is the most fruitless expenditure of energy on the planet. Very little is worth worrying about. If you must do something, take action instead.

18. Don’t assume that you can’t do something. Prove that you can’t, and if so, try something else.

19. More often than not, your fear is the culprit for inaction. More often than not, your fears are unfounded or at least out of proportion. More often than not, your fear will go away once you take action.

20. Focus on the task at hand. When you feel overwhelmed and pulled in many directions, just pick an important thing and do it without distraction. Then do another one.

21. Life is short. You have a limited number of days on this Earth. There isn’t time to waste your days in worry, anger or frustration. Make the most of this moment and the next and the next and the next . . .

If you want to have a wonderful life, spend your days in positive, forward-moving action and thought. Dismiss your longings for what you don’t have. Enjoy the actions as much or more than the outcomes.

The real secret to having the life you want is learning to love the life that you have.

Sometimes our life may feel like this...

Labels:
Everyone has an opinion about what you should do with your life, don't they?
Today is the day to forget outside opinions and to embrace your own peculiar truths and dreams.
Today is the day to go for it.......
Even if it makes you look like a freak.

If your heart is telling you to do it, and your heart just won't give up...
Even if it's been telling you the same things for years and years and years.......
You probably haven't done it because of your fears of the opinions of others.

You are never going to make everyone happy, ever.
To live a bold and uncommon life, you are probably going to turn an lot of heads and make a lot of other heads shake in disbelief about the path you have chosen for yourself.

In the end, you will never regret listening to your own deepest truth, even when this means shutting out almost every other voice.
Our deepest truths are our highest selves...coming from places of authenticity and love and light and joy.....how could that ever be a bad thing?

Here are some things that money cannot buy...

Labels:
There are just some simple and joyous things and life experiences that you can't put a price tag on. As the Mastercard commercial would say, those wonderful moments that turn into memories are "priceless."

Here are some things that money cannot buy:

* Seeing two elderly folks who are madly in love. It’s a sight of love that has surpassed the tests of time.

* The rush you get when you're driving on the open road and your favorite song randomly plays on the radio.

* When my baby girl looked up at me and said, "Daddy!" for the very first time.

* Beginner’s eyes. You’ll never see it again for the very first time.

* When a wild animal is tame enough to eat food right out of your hand.

* The warm coziness of your own bed after you return home from a long business trip.

* The excitement of swinging on a swing as high as you possibly can.

* The simple fact that I can read the sincerity in his eyes when he says, “I love you.”

* The feeling you get inside when you go out of your way to make someone’s day a little brighter. Doing something nice and unexpected for somebody else doesn’t always require money, and often the gesture has more meaning when it doesn’t.

* The exhilarating rush of adolescent love. Those magical moments of adolescent lust and affection that only you and one other person rightly remember.

* When you look into the eyes of your best friend and know, without a doubt, that you can trust her. You can see it in her eyes and you can feel it in your heart. She has no ulterior motive.

* The realization of true love. The warm feeling you get many years after your first kiss when you realize you married the right person.

* A first kiss. The sweet rush of butterflies in your tummy when you kiss someone special for the very first time.

* The proud look on your 4-year-old son’s face when he learns a new skill.

* The little kicks and pokes you feel daily as you enter the last month of your first pregnancy. It's truly remarkable!

* When a mother holds her own baby for the very first time.

* Realizing you were smiling the entire time you were talking to someone, right after you hang up the phone.

* The tears of joy that flow when you see your beloved for the first time after a 10 month deployment to Iraq. All the months of struggle and loneliness are washed away the second he gets off that plane.

Let's keep this list going. I would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time and list some things that money cannot buy. Thank you

People come into your life for a reason...

Labels:
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person...

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.

They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant..

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

If you've been hurt in a relationship really badly...

If you've been hurt in a relationship really badly,
you may want to build some walls around you so that it will never happen again.

You will then block 99% of the chance for broken trust, deception, lies, or anything else awful from ever happening to you.

But, if those walls are up, you will also block out 99% of the chance for trust, openness, truth, and love from ever happening to you.

Realize instead, that the pain was caused by THAT person, not every person. By keeping the walls up, you're choosing to punish yourself and every person who tries to love you.

Don't punish the innocent.

Improve your odds for love. Break down the walls.

Don't Fight For...

Being able to communicate openly is the key to any happy and successful relationship. How open are you? Let’s face it, there are bumpy roads in all relationships but fighting fair is the best way to keep the lines of communication open and prevent a molehill from becoming a mountain.

1) Don’t speak without first taking a moment when you are upset. If you must wait a day or two until you have cooled down then so be it. You don’t want to wind up saying something what you will regret and can’t take back.

2) Don’t harbor resentment for unaddressed or unacknowledged past feelings. Figure out exactly what the argument is about. Is the problem that the ice cube tray didn’t get filled or is it that last week your partner came home late and you were left feeling hurt and worried?

3) Don’t use “YOU ALWAYS” or “YOU NEVER”. Always and never bare negative connotations and automatically put your partner on the defense because they come across as accusatory. Be sure to say “I feel” such and such. Quite frankly your partner doesn’t feel that way, you do.

4) Don’t waste time you and your partner have together. There are things worth arguing about and things you should just let go. Save arguments for the things that are most important to you so issues of importance will hold more weight.

5) Don’t hold your partner accountable for the things your last partner did to you. This is not your previous partner.

6) Don’t fight if you or your partner has had a couple of cocktails. This is a sure way to have a full knock out fight instead of being able to rationally negotiate.

7) Don’t make idol threats. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Should you blurt out “If you do it again I’m leaving you”, then you better be ready to pack otherwise when you speak your words will have NO value.

8) Don’t fight or argue in public. Your friends and or family will become uncomfortable, stuck in the middle or worse yet not want to spend time with either of you.

9) Don’t be rude and disrespectful to your partner. If the two of you are best friends then treat each other as such.

10) Don’t assume you know what your partner is thinking. You are not a mind reader. If there is something truly bothering you speak up and be honest, your partner can’t read your mind either.

11) Don’t name call. This is not only childish it is completely unacceptable.

12) Don’t treat your partner in any manner that you yourself would not want to be treated. Hold yourself to the same standard of behavior you are expecting from your partner. Good for the goose is good for the gander.

13) Don’t’ be afraid to be the first one to apologize. Saying you’re sorry for hurting someone is not a sign of weakness it is actually a sign of strength because you were unafraid to go first.

Make a decision that...

Make a decision that,
from this moment on,
you will never be less than friendly toward yourself.

No more treating yourself like a slave.
No more putting yourself down - ever.
No more negative assumptions.
No more torment over past events that you can't change.
No more ''putting up with'' other people's abuse or unkindness.
No more postponing doing what you love most.

This will radically change the way you feel on the inside. And it will change the way that you think about other people , interpret their behavior, respond to them and act toward them.

It is impossible to see the world as a friendly place (despite the disappointments and hassles) until the world inside your own mind is also friendly.

When the old thoughts or behaviors arise , see them for what they are (tired , useless habits) and move on. They will continue to tug at you , but only as long as you pay attention.

Don't Forget To Treasure The Journey...

Don't Forget To Treasure The Journey

Remember all you have learned;
knowledge is the fuel for achievement.

Reflect on the lessons of life learned so far;
they add up to a priceless wisdom.

Appreciate the gift of choice available to you;
choose wisely and you will live well.

Listen to your inner voice;
it is the most important connection between your head and heart.

Leave self doubt behind;
it serves only to make you hesitate.

Never stop questioning, searching and reaching;
they are the only ways to stretch your mind and soul.

No matter what you do in this life;
remember it is never about the treasures you acquire;

It's about making certain it is life you treasure.

The Valuable Lesson I Learned...

I learned a long time ago that there is a big difference between liking people and loving them. Jesus instructed us to love others, even our enemies. I sure don't like my enemies, but I'm supposed to love them.

Liking someone is an emotional response. It is a feeling. When someone says, "I like her," he or she can always finish the sentence if asked why. "I like her because..." or "I like him because..."

The tough part is that we can't control our emotions. We can control how we choose to express those emotions, but not the feelings themselves. A healthy can person can be angry and still choose to act lovingly. A sad person can choose to do the things that need to be done at the moment, not because of how he or she feels, but in spite of it.

A feeling is a reaction. Maybe that's one reason why Jesus didn't say, "Like your enemies." He had insight into the human psyche. He knew that liking or not liking someone was not always in our immediate control.

I've learned that love is, among other things, an action. I can love someone I don't necessarily like. I can do something or act toward that person in a certain way because I know it is the right thing to do even if I don't feel warm and fuzzy doing it.

So here's my working definition of love: Love is the commitment to treat a person with dignity and kindness regardless of how you feel about him or her.

It is much easier to love lovable people. Just about anybody can do that. But to love the unlovable--those people of poor behavior or negative circumstance--is the tough challenge of life.

Mother Teresa loved the lepers and the poor and the downcast of the world, and we consider her a saint.

Jesus loved the sinner just as much as he loved the religious people of his day. He hung out with sinners, attended to their needs, and loved them without ever compromising his own integrity.

Marva Collins sticks in my mind as a woman who truly loved her students. Years ago she started a program in Chicago called Westside Prep and vowed that she would not let her students fail. Do you think any of those students ever frustrated or angered her? Of course they did, but she loved them anyway.

My wife, Darla, loves me even when she doesn't "like" me. And rare as it may be, when I don't have warm, fuzzy feelings for her, I still love her.

We love our two boys completely even when we don't like their behavior.

The more you love others--do those things that treat them with dignity, that serve and enrich their lives--the easier it is to like them. People become more lovable when they are loved.

Never Forget How Very Special You Are...

Your presence is a present to the world.
You're unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be.
Take the days, just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles.
You'll make it through, whatever comes along.
Within you are so many answers.
Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don't put limits on yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be realized.
Decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal and your prize.
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets.
Don't take things too seriously.
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot... goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment.
Life's treasures are people... together.
Realize that it's never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Have health, hope and happiness.
Take the time to wish upon a star.
And don't ever forget...
For even a day...
How very special you are.. !

When you change the way you look at things...

When you change the way you look at things,
The things you look at Change.

~ Wayne Dyer

Change your Thoughts, Change your Life

An interview with Dr. Wayne Dyer

Q. What's the most common spiritual affliction that you see?

Carl Jung said that the number one purpose of organized religion is to prevent everyone from having a direct experience of God. With spirituality the implication very often is that some people have it and some people don't. And those that have it dispense it to others. And I think it's more than an affliction. It's a huge, huge, huge error to make.

Each and every being on this planet is a piece of God.

We all came from the same source.

Q. It sounds like you're talking about separation.

Separation from our source, yeah. In the first nine months of your life, when you were inside your mother's womb, you were doing nothing, you know? You were just being done. And you surrendered to that completely. And you didn't worry about it, and you didn't pray that your nose would show up on time, and that your fingernails would come and they would be in the right place, and all that. You just surrendered to it. And then, when you're born, we are surrounded by people who suddenly say, well, that was good work,God, but now I'll take over from here.

And then, we develop this ego,
which is an acronym for Edging God Out.

As we edge God out, we take over ourselves, and we start believing that we're not these divine creations. We start believing that we are what we have and what we do and what we accumulate, and what our reputations are, and we start really believing strongly in all of that stuff. And in the process, we lose our connection to what we really are.

Q. How can changing your thoughts change your life?

You Can Change How the World Looks at You.
They say when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. Einstein once said that the most important decision you'll ever have to make in your life is whether you live in a friendly universe or a hostile universe. And if you're a person who believes that you live in a hostile universe, you're going to be looking for that. You're going to be experiencing that. You'll be seeing it everywhere. You'll become a person who's always looking for occasions to be upset or to be offended or to be hurt, or depressed, or sad, or right, or whatever.

If you live in a world that you believe supports you, and is friendly and is there for you, and is bringing you all that you need at any given moment, and all the experiences that you have are perfect, if you just really believe that, then, the things that you don't like you'll just be able to ignore, and the world looks very, very different.

Always Be...

Always Be

Always,
Be understanding to your enemies.
Be loyal to your friends.
Be strong enough to face the world each day.
Be weak enough to know you cannot do everything alone.

Always,
Be generous to those who need your help.
Be frugal with that you need yourself.
Be wise enough to know that you do not know everything.
Be smart enough to continue learning.

Always,
Be willing to share your joys.
Be willing to share the sorrows of others.
Be a leader when you see a path others have missed.
Be a follower when you are shrouded by the mists of uncertainty.

Always,
Be first to congratulate an opponent who succeeds.
Be last to criticize a colleague who fails.
Be sure where your next step will fall, so that you will not tumble.
Be sure of your final destination, by setting your goals along the way.

Above all,
Always be yourself.

You are Everything to Me...

It doesn’t mean I can never try,
when tears come out as I cry,
My tears build a memory lane,
I keep walking, just to meet you again..!!

As I stand alone in the courtyard,
Everything in life now seems so hard,
So I ask God, every time I pray,
give me strength for one more day..!!

Since the moment we are apart,
I live with an empty and hollow heart,
My heart may not make it through,
But It just can’t stop loving you..!!

I wonder why I did not confess,
Its all your love inside, that I possess,
I don’t know if I’ll ever smile,
I just wanna be with you for a while..!!

I can keep everything aside,
But your love is something I can’t hide,
I don’t know if things can be same,
But, I know someday you’ll call my name..!!

I just wanna see your lovely face,
But, I am stuck at lonely place,
I don’t know if I will ever be free,
But, I know you’re everything to me..!!
